Introducing the Canon iPF670E

There is a new five-color, 24-inch, large format Canon printer on the market called the iPF670E. This printer is an economical entry-level model that supports a variety of applications such as posters, presentations, technical documents, drawings, and enlargements. In addition to the reliability, durability, and ease of use that we in the industry have come to know from Canon products; this particular model is ideal for those looking for an extremely affordable printer as well. An added bonus to purchasing a 670 is its small footprint. Eastern Engineering Expands Into Ohio-Acquires Toledo Blue

Fishers, IN, March 31, 2017 – Eastern Engineering is expanding its territory into Toledo, Ohio. Eastern Engineering currently has 3 locations (Muncie, Fishers, and Ft.Wayne) and is continuing their pattern of growth with the acquisition of Toledo Blue Print and Paper Company. This acquisition will provide Eastern Engineering and their team quicker and easier access to the customer base in Northern Indiana and Ohio territories. Mark Langdon, CEO of Eastern stated, “We are looking forward to a strong partnership between Eastern Engineering and the longtime dedicated employees of Toledo Blue. Eastern will be able to offer the Toledo market more options, convenience, and technology than they currently have and we think it will be a win-win for all involved”

Toledo Blue Print and Paper Company started out as small family owned business in 1911 in downtown Toledo. Along with selling blue print machines and making copies of prints, Toledo Blue Print carried paper supplies, art supplies, office furniture, engineering supplies, and architectural supplies. They prided themselves with same day or next day delivery. In 2002, Toledo Blue Print was sold and moved out of downtown Toledo to nearby Northwood, Ohio where they are currently located.

The name will be changed shortly to reflect the new ownership as well as updated services, supplies, and equipment available to those in the Toledo market. The experienced team currently in place at Toledo Blue have a long history of great customer service and Eastern Engineering looks forward to working with staff and customers to continue this trend.

Large Format Operator/Delivery Driver
Eastern Engineering Supply – Muncie, IN
$10 – $13 an hour

Overview: Receive, process, and scan large format documents into various digital formats and maintain orders for copy service; bindery and wrapping for delivery. Perform daily pickup and delivery responsibilities while providing excellent customer service.

Skill Requirements:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute, rate, ratio and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


Maintain a courteous and “can-do” attitude with internal and external customers.
Create large format black and white copies using scan to print formats.
Scan documents using large format scanners.
Convert documents into customer specified file format.
Perform calculations to determine enlargement and reduction ratios.
Use conversion software platforms (raster to vector conversions)
Use plotting software to plot scanned files.
Maintain plotters and scanners.
Maintain departmental supplies.
Communicate problems and suggestions with customers and production manager.
Troubleshoot and resolve problematic orders.
Assists customers in placing orders by obtaining job specifications and preparing complete and accurate work order forms.
Process, comprehend, and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
Monitor for high quality black and white output.
Proof finished product for any errors and stamps with inspection number.
Gather, organize, and wrap completed work for delivery to customer or next department.
Complete paperwork for the billing process.
Operates a delivery vehicle to make pickups and deliveries.
Works an average of (8) hours a day, 5 days per week with 1 hour lunch break.
Loads and unloads delivery vehicle with printed and raw materials.
Maintains a clean vehicle, free of dents, scratches and trash.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.


Frequent lifting required. (Up to 65lbs.)
Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and sit.
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Education / Experience:

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)


Organized, detail oriented individual.
Sense of urgency. Desire to meet customer requested turnaround times.
Able to work in fast paced, high-pressure operation.
Work with diverse work force.
Clean driving record. (DMV required)
Willing to work reasonable overtime when needed to meet customer demands and shop goals.
