Fifty years is a long time to keep a family-owned company in business and a big accomplishment to be thriving and expanding into new territories after fifty years.
Making good business decisions, watching industry trends, and keeping up with technology are all important but it’s also important to build the right team and create a culture where employees are set up for success.
President, Mark Langdon takes time to know his employees, their families, their kids, and even their hobbies. “I call my employees team members. There’s a quote from Richard Branson of Virgin Airlines that says: ‘Customers do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the customers.’ I live by this quote,” says Langdon.
Employees are a valuable part of the team. More than half of the 55 employees have been with Eastern Engineering for more than 10 years. Remarkable! Thank you for all your energy, and effort and for always giving our customers exceptional service.
Mary Langdon retired from her role as CEO in late December 2021. Dawn Langdon has assumed the role of CEO after working for Eastern Engineering for more than 27 years. She has extensive business and leadership experience from her key responsibilities managing human resources and accounting departments. Mark and Dawn plan to continue to expand the family business.
