1. Scope and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions apply to use of easternengineering.com and purchases of physical products through the website. By placing an order, you agree to the purchase terms disclosed before checkout. Separately signed agreements for equipment, financing, maintenance, printing, software, or other services govern those services and control in the event of a conflict.

2. Product Information and Pricing

We make reasonable efforts to keep product descriptions, specifications, pricing, and availability accurate. Please confirm that the model, size, features, and compatibility meet your needs before ordering.

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes and shipping charges are shown or communicated before purchase. If a material pricing or product-information error affects your order, we will contact you before proceeding. You may decline the corrected terms and receive a refund for any unfulfilled portion of the order.

3. Orders and Payment

You must provide accurate billing, shipping, and contact information and use an authorized payment method. An automated order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order; it does not guarantee product availability or shipment.

If we cannot fulfill an order, we will notify you and refund amounts paid for the unfulfilled portion.

4. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping and delivery estimates depend on product availability, destination, and carrier service. Freight delivery, unloading, installation, and setup requirements, where applicable, will be communicated before purchase.

If we cannot ship within the promised timeframe, or within the timeframe required by applicable law when no shipping date was promised, we will notify you and provide the required option to accept the delay or cancel for a prompt refund.

Please inspect delivered products and packaging and contact us promptly about damage, missing items, or incorrect products. Keep packaging and photographs when possible to assist with resolving the issue. These requests do not limit rights provided by applicable law.

5. Returns and Return Authorization

Contact Eastern Engineering before returning a product. Include your order number, product model, and reason for the return. We will provide return eligibility information and instructions.

Return requests must be submitted within [INSERT NUMBER] days of delivery, unless a different period is disclosed before purchase or required by applicable law. Return condition and packaging requirements, shipping responsibilities, and any product-specific restrictions must be disclosed before purchase. Statutory rights for defective or misdescribed products are unaffected.

6. Plotter Returns and 30% Restocking Fee

Approved returns of purchased plotters are subject to a 30% restocking fee, calculated on the purchase price paid for the returned plotter after discounts, excluding taxes and shipping charges. The restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

For example, a plotter purchased for $2,000 would incur a $600 restocking fee. The merchandise refund would be $1,400, with applicable tax and shipping adjustments handled separately.

The restocking fee applies to eligible customer-requested returns, such as a change of mind or ordering the wrong model. It does not apply to returns resulting from Eastern Engineering shipping the wrong product, a product being defective or arriving damaged, or where prohibited by applicable law. Contact us for the appropriate return, replacement, repair, or warranty process.

7. Ink and Toner Returns

Ink and toner products are non-returnable once opened or installed. Please verify compatibility with your printer or plotter before opening or installing the product.

Unopened, uninstalled ink and toner in their original sealed packaging may be returned under our standard return policy, subject to the return deadline and prior return authorization described in Section 5. The 30% plotter restocking fee does not apply to ink or toner.

For defective, damaged, or incorrectly shipped products, contact Eastern Engineering for assistance. This policy does not limit rights or remedies provided by applicable law.

8. Refunds and Cancellations

Approved return refunds will be processed after we receive and inspect the returned product, subject to applicable legal deadlines. Refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method, less the disclosed restocking fee and any other deductions disclosed before purchase and permitted by law. Your payment provider may require additional processing time.

Contact us promptly to request an order cancellation. Cancellation may not be possible once an order has shipped. The plotter restocking fee is a return fee and does not automatically apply to an order canceled before shipment. Legally required cancellation refunds are not subject to this restocking fee.

9. Warranties and Liability

Products may include manufacturer warranties according to their stated terms. Contact us for applicable warranty information and assistance.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Eastern Engineering is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, resulting from use of the website or purchased products.

10. Website Use and Privacy

Do not use the website for unlawful activity, submit fraudulent orders, interfere with website operation, or attempt unauthorized access. Website text, graphics, logos, and other materials belong to Eastern Engineering or their respective owners and may not be reproduced without permission, except as permitted by law.

11. Changes and Contact

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Purchase terms in effect when an order is placed govern that order unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
